Our Story

The journey to founding Swiss Army K9 was a long-awaited dream, driven by a lifelong passion for canine excellence. I’ve always cherished the companionship of a well-trained, obedient dog—but everything changed when I welcomed a Pit Corso named Heartz into my life.

Despite my previous successes with dogs, nothing seemed to work with Heartz. Refusing to give up, I fell down a long rabbit hole—or in this case, a dog-dug hole—exploring everything K9: canine behavior, drives, genetics, breed specifics, and beyond. Along the way, I realized two things: every dog needs a purpose, and I had finally found mine. By embracing a working-dog training approach and giving Heartz a job, I watched her transform in a remarkably short time into a disciplined, confident partner

From Passion to Purpose

That transformation not only deepened my love for working dogs, but also mirrored my own personal journey. Growing up with limited opportunities, I too went through a period of being the “Bad Dog,” an experience that taught me the true value of guidance and purpose. Watching Heartz’s growth inspired me to immerse myself even further in training—to be the change I wanted to see.

Over time, this passion grew into a calling: helping dogs discover their purpose. That calling became Swiss Army K9—a place where every dog has the chance to flourish, with our team walking right alongside them. Just like every tool in a Swiss Army Knife has its place, every dog has a purpose with man. At Swiss Army K9, we are committed to helping each dog find theirs.

Yes, board & train is available for owners who want professional, immersive training. Your dog stays with us for a set period and comes back with new skills.
